The Pre-Sales Consultant will deliver technical consultancy and pre-sales activities, and transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. The successful candidate will assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompany Business Development Managers on customer meetings. Working with the Sales Team, your responsibilities will include the development of formal written sales proposals and tender responses and the ability to present and differentiate product offerings at a technical level from the competition.
Presale Consultant duties and responsibilities
• Working with a sales team to determine solutions to customers’ challenges and supporting the sales team to present proposals to clients.
• Providing demonstrations, presentations, training, consultation and sales support services for the sales team and existing clients.
• Building relationships with customers and proactively seeking new sales opportunities by developing new relationships with prospective clients.
• To attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
• Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
• Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
• Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
• Familiar with RFI/RFP documentation and RFI/RFP defense, tender response
• Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations
• Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
• Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
• Perform technical development for bespoke solutions as part of a design and development frame work
• Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and to Zen Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Provide accurate and timely management information, to include – activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes
• Build technical relationship with prospects and/or existing customers
• Support the Sales Team with customer-facing technical pre-sales assistance
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, and provide support at external and internal customer facing events
• Build custom demonstrations and deliver Proof Of Concepts (POC)
• Compare competitive products to specify the most advantageous solutions for customers
• Take a leading role in specifying technical solutions and writing proposals and tender responses.

• Senior Technical Consultancy customer-facing experience
• Proven Technical and IT Services pre-sales experience
• Proposal and Tender writing experience
• Qualifications to include some or all of the following technologies: ̶ Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Azure, AMS, Cloud, RPA and able to demonstrate professional presale capabilities
• Good commercial acumen
• Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good listening skills
• Ability to explain and present technical solutions
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Affinity to both sales and technology functions
• Excellent English communication
• Having knowledge in IT domain is a plus
• Able to work independently or as a team
• Flexibly working with different time zones (Viet Nam, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, USA)
